A little bit about me...

Hi there! My name is Kaelin, and I've created this website to explore and share some of my interests, both professional and creative (and to be honest, to get a bit better at web design). See below for a little bit more about how this website is organized, and some of the content I plan to include.

Research

In my professional life, I currently work as a lab manager at Stanford studying social cognition and learning in young children. I am interested in exploring the mechanisms behind children's reputation management and how they think about themselves in context with peers, as well as further understanding children's teaching and learning machinery and how it changes throughout development. Wow, that was a mouthful! In short, I like thinking about how children think and learn. Quite frankly, I am unsure if I will stay in academia forever, but for now, this is what's up.

Recipes

I have loved baking for as long as I can remember. If I could have it my way, I'd quit my job right now and open Kaelin's Cakes, but here we are. Here, I'll share recipes, both longstanding favorites and new experiments, as well as yummy pictures of the finished results. Ramblings

I'm not a professional writer by any means, hence my description for my writing as "ramblings." This section if for my thoughts, my ideas, and any miscellaneous content I would like to share.
